A Level III Trauma Center in the Pacific Northwest is seeking a CT Technologist for the day shift. This is a full time position, 36 hours per week.

Salary Range: $62,000-90,000

The facility is the largest non-profit healthcare provider in the region, offering primary and specialty care to patients in the Tri-Cities and surrounding region.

Kennewick typically has more than 300 days of sunshine. Its location along the Columbia River provides a variety of recreational activities including world-class fishing, birding, bike trails and parks.

Job Summary:

Under the direct supervision of leadership, the CT technologist is responsible for operating and providing high quality computerized tomography to patients in a safe manner for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment of anatomic and physiologic disorders. These cross-sectional images provide detailed information about soft tissues, blood vessels, and bones, which is essential for accurate diagnostics. CT CT Tech will position patients to ensure they receive the proper dose of radionuclides and perform the imaging procedure.

Skill Requirements:

  • Interpreting the orders provided by the physician or other prescribing medical professional
  • Explaining what will happen during the CT scan to patients
  • Positioning patients properly to take the necessary images
  • Administering IVs that contain contrast dyes to enhance imaging
  • Examining images to ensure they’re usable
  • Updating patient medical information
  • Cleaning and maintaining CT scan equipment
  • Keeping inventory of CT scan supplies and making orders for supply restocks as required

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Perform computed tomography (CT) procedures
  • Position patients and answer any questions they have regarding the procedure
  • Ensure the proper dose of radionuclides are administered, starting IV lines if needed
  • Monitor patient discomfort throughout the procedure
  • Review images for quality
  • Accurately document the procedure and update patient records

Education, Certification, & Experience:

REQUIRED:

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.  
  • Upon hire: Washington Radiologic Technologist 
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS – American Heart Association 
  • Upon hire: National Registered Technologist – Radiography – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
  • Within 1 year of hire National Registered Technologist – Computed Tomography (Vendor Managed) OR
  • Within 1 year of hire National Computed Tomography Technologist – Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (Vendor Managed)
  • Within 60 days of hire Medical Assistant – Registered (hiring facility assists with licensure)

PREFERRED:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor's Degree in Medical Imaging  
  • 1 year Experience as a registered technologist performing CT scan and X-Ray.

Must be legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
