Billing and Compliance, Manager, Day Shift | Permanent |

Position & Client Overview:

A large and prestigious healthcare system located in the heart of beautiful Nashville seeks a Manager of Lab Billing and Compliance to work the day shift at their busy and high volume level one trauma hospital. Must have experience and certification as a medical laboratory scientist.

Salary Range: $80,000-120,000

Job Summary:

Responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the laboratory, including implementation of accounting policies, systems, and procedures in order to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Prepares regular company financial statements, metrics and special reports both timely and accurately
  • Works with the Controller and staff to ensure all accounting and financial reporting activities are completed on an accurate and timely basis
  • Develops and maintains key financial models
  • Develops and implements accounting policies, procedures and systems to ensure company financial information is fairly stated
  • Develops the annual forecast for each division and monitors the forecast against actual revenues and expenditures on an ongoing basis
  • Plan for cash spend
  • Assists external auditors as required
  • Strong communication skills and experience providing summary reports of complex financial information
  • Willingness and interest to explore and learn new technologies for efficient and effective data management
  • Ability to work well under pressure, maintain confidentiality and work with diplomacy and tact required
  • Performs other related duties as required

Education, Certification, & Experience:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree
  • 3-5 years in managing finance, billing and compliance
  • MLS(ASCP) or MT(ASCP) certification is required
  • Tennessee MT license is preferred
